Nissan Z (RZ34) GT300

The GAINER TANAX Z has been introduced at the second round of the 2024 Super GT season, debuting at Fuji Speedway, as the cooling system of the car was not finished yet for the opening Okayama round.

Replacing the GT-R GT3, this Z is Team GAINER's take on a GTA-GT300 machine, as the team originally started with custom built race cars, such as the JIM GAINER 360 from 2003. As Nissan Nismo haven't announced plans for a GT-R GT3 successor, the team went with developing a worthy successor based on the Z, starting as an idea at the end of 2021.

Even though the body is vastly different, lots of the inner components are shared with its predecessor, including most of the interior, the gearbox, seats, and the engine itself, the VR38DETT, however, the turbocharger and exhaust manifolds are changed.

Drivers have reported a surprising sensation about the car: It feels much more like a race car than ever, outpassing everything they have driven before. Even though it uses a production chassis, the car outperformed the born-to-race GT-R GT3, with the additional advantage of the reduced tyre wear.

The Z GT300 has, and is undergoing several changes from race to race, continuing the same trend in 2025, both visually and mechanically, to make sure that GAINER is back in business with creating one-off GT300 machines.
